Some 23 years ago, Unity athletics was organized through the Floyd County Recreation Department. 2022 will start Unity’s 15th season of Middle and High School Athletics, currently organized through GAPPS Association. I believe our students, our parents and our ability to share Christ through sports have been the foundation for success these past 14 years. Class after class and year after year, God has continued to bring great students to Unity. Unity parents value partnership in raising children with a biblical worldview.
There are many exciting things about Unity’s Athletic program – maybe most importantly how the leadership team values the opportunity for students to participate in sports. Currently, 89% of our students participate in the Athletic program.
For the 3rd consecutive year, there are multiple games competing with GHSA local opponents in Basketball and Volleyball. Unity has the only Clay Sport Target team in Northwest Georgia.
Over 53% of our athletes participate in both athletics and fine arts. The Fine Arts Department produces an outstanding play and amazing musical each year.
We are always encouraged to see our athletes perform in this arena. It is amazing! God is doing great things through athletics at Unity!
Opportunity is valued here, and we want students to participate and embrace it.
The Unity Lions Booster Club is a great way to be involved with UCS Athletics! We are huge fans of our student athletes. The Booster Club serves in several ways: Game Day Concessions, Organization of Volunteers, and Fundraising Support. Serving is so much fun with fellow Lions!
